Do Labour MPs in Scotland ever disagree with the bosses in England?

Do Labour MPs in Scotland ever disagree with the bosses in England? NO: Since taking their turn at power in Westminster, Labour MPs in Scotland have rebelled against how the bosses in England tell them to vote zero times.

Labour in Scotland makes a lot of noise about “representing Scotland at the heart of Government” (because apparently our own Government doesn’t count). But if this were even remotely true then they’d be representing our priorities – and not simply falling in line with every priority of their bosses in England.

Why did they complain about Labour ditching the Winter Fuel Allowance, but then vote as they were told to support removing it? Why do they bitch about the Two Bedroom Tax when in Scotland, but then refuse to oppose it in Westminster? This occurs all the time. The “whips” tell the MPs how to voter – and they just do as they are told. None have ever rebelled against this.

So what is their point? Labour didn’t need them for power. They don’t represent Scotland. Only Scottish parties like the SNP do that.
